Georgia High School Basketball - Valwood holds off Echols County

In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Valwood Valiants basketball team scored a close 55-53 triumph over the Echols County Wildcats.
The Valiants (9-1) will now prepare for their contest against Westfield School (Perry, GA). The Hornets go into the non-league contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Westfield School nipped Southland Academy (Americus, GA), 57-56, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Wildcats confront the Turner County Titans (Ashburn, GA) in a A D2 Region 2 contest, on Friday, December 12. Echols County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Titans enter the outing with a 5-1 record after their 80-21 league win over Echols County (Statenville, GA).
