In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Mescalero Apache Chiefs basketball team scored a close 44-40 win over the Pine Hill Warriors.
The Chiefs (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against To'hajiilee (To'hajiilee, NM). The Warriors enter the non-league match with a 4-1 record. In their last match, To'hajiilee got by Socorro (Socorro, NM), 67-53, in a non-league match.
