In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Tyler Lions basketball team scored a close 69-65 win over the Roosevelt Mustangs.
The Lions (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against Gladewater (Gladewater, TX). The Bears come into the non-league contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Gladewater edged De Kalb (De Kalb, TX), 54-50, in a non-league contest.
Next up, the Mustangs face the Pittsburg Pirates (Pittsburg, TX) in a non-league match, on Thursday, December 11. Roosevelt will attempt to advance on its 7-5 season record.
