In Thursday's league contest, the host Barnum Bombers basketball team scored a close 44-40 win over the Moose Lake/Willow River Rebels.
The Bombers (4-0) will now prepare for their match against South Ridge (Culver, MN). The Panthers go into the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, South Ridge was tipped by Mountain Iron-Buhl (Mountain Iron, MN), 84-21, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Rebels battle the Aitkin Gobblers (Aitkin, MN) in a AA Section 7 contest, on Monday, December 15. Moose Lake/Willow River will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record. The Gobblers go into the contest with a 2-4 record after their 53-41 non-league win over Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted (Howard Lake, MN).
