North Carolina High School Basketball - Goldsboro overwhelms Rosewood

The Goldsboro Cougars basketball team scored 54 points and limited the visiting Rosewood Eagles to 18 in the Cougars league triumph on Thursday.

The Cougars now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wallace-Rose Hill for a Swine Valley 2A/3A outing on Friday, December 19. Goldsboro will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 61-40 non-league loss to East Duplin (Beulaville, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-3.

The Eagles (1-3) will now prepare for their outing against James Kenan (Warsaw, NC). The Tigers come into the Swine Valley 2A/3A outing with a 2-1 record. In their last outing, James Kenan routed Spring Creek (Seven Springs, NC), 53-2, in a league outing.
