The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Mapleton Mounties (Ashland, OH) and the visiting Plymouth Big Red (Plymouth, OH), observed Mapleton's basketball team overwhelm Plymouth by a score of 56-14.

The Mounties (6-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Norwayne (Creston, OH). The Bobcats come into the non-league challenge with a 5-0 record. In their last battle, Norwayne walloped Smithville (Smithville, OH), 65-27, in a league battle.

The Big Red now own a 0-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monroeville for a Firelands battle on Saturday, December 13. Plymouth will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 75-33 league loss to Crestview (Ashland, OH). The Eagles record now stands at 1-4.
