Virginia High School Basketball - Amherst County thwarts Louisa County

December 12, 2022: Amherst, VA 24521

The Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA) basketball knocked off the visiting Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA), 61-45 in Monday's non-league test.

The Lancers (5-1) will now prepare for their test against Glass (Lynchburg, VA). The Hilltoppers go into the Seminole test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Glass notched a victory over Liberty (Bedford, VA), 80-29, in a league test.

The Lions now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to Monticello for a Jefferson test on Tuesday, December 13. Louisa County will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 59-43 non-league loss to Wilson Memorial (Fishersville, VA). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-4.
