The Homer-Center Wildcats (Homer City, PA) basketball felled the visiting Apollo Ridge Vikings (Spring Church, PA), 50-37 in Monday's non-league test.
The Wildcats (1-3) will now prepare for their test against Portage (Portage, PA). The Mustangs go into the Heritage test with a 4-0 record. In their last test, Portage thwarted North Star (Boswell, PA), 69-47, in a non-league test.
The Vikings now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Jeannette for a non-league test on Wednesday, December 14. Apollo Ridge will encounter a Jayhawks squad coming off a 51-39 non-league win over Greensburg Salem (Greensburg, PA). The Jayhawks record now stands at 3-1.
