Clay County Bulldogs (Celina, TN) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Macon County Tigers (Lafayette, TN), 45-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Clay County upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Bulldogs host Tennessee Heat (Nashville, TN) to clash with the in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 13. The go into the bout with a record of 9-5. Tennessee Heat won 62-61 in their recent league bout against Daniel 1 Academy (Cookeville, TN)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Livingston Academy Wildcats (Livingston, TN) in a 3A District 7 bout, on Friday, December 16. Macon County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 6-0 record after their 60-50 non-league win over Smith County (Carthage, TN).
