Franklin Broncos (Franklin, VA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Lunenburg Central Chargers (Victoria, VA), 60-20 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Franklin upgrades its record to 5-0 on the season. The Broncos host Surry County (Dendron, VA) to play the Cougars in a Tri-Rivers bout on Wednesday, December 14. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Surry County lost 39-32 in their recent league bout against Sussex Central (Sussex, VA)

Next up, the Chargers play the Nottoway Cougars (Nottoway, VA) in a James River bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Lunenburg Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 64-60 non-league loss to Mecklenburg County (Baskerville, VA).
