Gilbert Indians (Gilbert, SC) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Pelion Panthers (Pelion, SC), 59-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Gilbert upgrades its record to 2-7 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Mid-Carolina (Prosperity, SC) to play the Rebels in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 14. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 3-5. Mid-Carolina won 54-38 in their recent non-league bout against Batesburg-Leesville (Batesburg, SC)

Next up, the Panthers play the Blackville-Hilda Fighting Hawks (Blackville, SC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 14. Pelion will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Fighting Hawks come into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 56-45 league win over Ridge Spring-Monetta (Monetta, SC).
