The Athens Warriors basketball team scored 42 points and held the host Midwest Central/Delavan Raiders to 41 in the Warriors league triumph on Monday.
The Warriors now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Williamsville for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 15. Athens will meet a Bullets team coming off a 54-22 non-league loss to Deer Creek-Mackinaw (Mackinaw, IL). The Bullets record now stands at 5-5.
The Raiders (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central (Petersburg, IL). The Bluejays enter the non-league contest with a 6-0 record. In their last contest, PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central nudged Pawnee (Pawnee, IL), 54-23, in a non-league contest.
