Shenandoah Mustangs (Shenandoah, IA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Clarinda Cardinals (Clarinda, IA), 51-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Shenandoah upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Creston (Creston, IA) to play the Panthers in a Hawkeye Ten bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 0-6. Creston lost 63-33 in their recent league bout against Atlantic (Atlantic, IA)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Denison-Schleswig Monarchs (Denison, IA) in a Hawkeye Ten bout, on Friday, December 16. Clarinda will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Monarchs come into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 53-30 league loss to Harlan (Harlan, IA).
