Franklin Broncos (Franklin, VA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Lunenburg Central Chargers (Victoria, VA), 43-34 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Franklin upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Broncos host Surry County (Dendron, VA) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 14. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 0-4. Surry County lost 32-12 in their recent non-league bout against Sussex Central (Sussex, VA)

Next up, the Chargers play the Nottoway Cougars (Nottoway, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Lunenburg Central will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 63-20 non-league win over Cumberland (Cumberland, VA).
