Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons (Parkersburg, IA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Dike-New Hartford Wolverines (Dike, IA), 71-56 in a league bout.

With the victory, Aplington-Parkersburg upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Marquette (Bellevue, IA) to play the Mohawks in a non-league bout on Friday, December 15. The Mohawks come into the bout with a record of 7-0. Marquette won 64-28 in their recent league bout against Midland (Wyoming, IA)

Next up, the Wolverines play the Hudson Pirates (Hudson, IA) in a North Iowa Cedar - East bout, on Friday, December 15. Dike-New Hartford will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 6-0 record after their 79-48 league win over Denver (Denver, IA).
