The McLean County Cougars basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting Apollo Eagles to 54 in the Cougars league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cougars now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Heritage Christian Academy for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 14. McLean County will battle a Warriors team coming off a 66-53 non-league win over Foundation Christian Academy (Bowling Green, KY). The Warriors record now stands at 4-3.

The Eagles (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Owensboro (Owensboro, KY). The Red Devils enter the District 9 contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Owensboro nudged Muhlenberg County (Greenville, KY), 55-36, in a non-league contest.
