Madison Academy Mustangs (Madison, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Athens Golden Eagles (Athens, AL), 54-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Madison Academy upgrades its record to 12-2 on the season. The Mustangs travel to East Limestone (Athens, AL) to clash with the Indians in a 5A Area 16 bout on Friday, December 15. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 7-2. East Limestone won 92-30 in their recent league bout against Ardmore (Ardmore, AL)

Next up, the Golden Eagles clash with the Hartselle Tigers (Hartselle, AL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 15. Athens will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record.
