North Carolina High School Basketball - Avery County overwhelmed by McDowell

The McDowell Titans basketball team scored 78 points and restricted the host Avery County Vikings to 49 in the Titans non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Titans now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Burns for a non-league contest on Friday, December 15. McDowell will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 62-49 non-league loss to Maiden (Maiden, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-4.
The Vikings (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Rosman (Rosman, NC). The Tigers come into the 1A/2A Western Highlands contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Rosman triumphed over Blue Ridge Early College (Cashiers, NC), 57-51, in a non-league contest.
