Laurel Spartans (Laurel, MD) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Bladensburg Mustangs (Bladensburg, MD), 72-65 in a league bout.

With the win, Laurel upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Spartans travel to Bowie (Bowie, MD) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Prince George's County 4A bout on Thursday, December 14. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Bowie won 66-48 in their recent league bout against Suitland (Forestville, MD)

Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Parkdale Panthers (Riverdale, MD) in a Prince George's County 4A bout, on Thursday, December 14. Bladensburg will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 59-43 league win over High Point (Beltsville, MD).
