Bowie Bulldogs (Bowie, MD) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders (Greenbelt, MD), 57-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Bowie upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Bulldogs host Laurel (Laurel, MD) to play the Spartans in a Prince George's County 4A bout on Thursday, December 14. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Laurel won 72-65 in their recent league bout against Bladensburg (Bladensburg, MD)

Next up, the Raiders play the South River Seahawks (Edgewater, MD) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 21. Eleanor Roosevelt will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Seahawks go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 79-69 league loss to Arundel (Gambrills, MD).
