In Tuesday's league outing, the Buffalo Island Central Mustangs (Monette, AR) basketball squad edged the visiting Earle Bulldogs (Earle, AR), by a count of 60-54.

The Mustangs (9-6) will now prepare for their outing against Rector (Rector, AR). The Cougars go into the 2A Region 3 outing with a 7-3 record. In their last outing, Rector held off Marmaduke (Marmaduke, AR), 53-47, in a league outing.

The Bulldogs now hold a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Bay for a 2A Region 3 outing on Friday, December 15. Earle will clash with a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 60-59 league loss to East Poinsett County (Lepanto, AR). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 12-9.
