Cheboygan Chiefs (Cheboygan, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Newberry Indians (Newberry, MI), 55-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cheboygan upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Chiefs travel to Kalkaska (Kalkaska, MI) to clash with the Blazers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 15. The Blazers go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Kalkaska won 47-29 in their recent non-league bout against St. Mary (Lake Leelanau, MI)

Next up, the Indians clash with the Cedarville Trojans (Cedarville, MI) in a Eastern Upper Peninsula bout, on Thursday, December 14. Newberry will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 50-46 non-league loss to Alanson (Alanson, MI).
