    Ironton Fighting Tigers (Ironton, OH) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Chesapeake Panthers (Chesapeake, OH), 53-41 in a league bout.

    With the win, Ironton upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Fighting Tigers travel to Dawson-Bryant (Coal Grove, OH) to clash with the Hornets in a Ohio Valley bout on Friday, December 15. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Dawson-Bryant lost 73-55 in their recent league bout against South Point (South Point, OH)

    Next up, the Panthers clash with the South Point Pointers (South Point, OH) in a Ohio Valley bout, on Friday, December 15. Chesapeake will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Pointers go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 73-55 league win over Dawson-Bryant (Coal Grove, OH).
