The Oneida Baptist Institute Mountaineers basketball team (Oneida, KY), was overwhelmed 80-57 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Clay County Tigers (Manchester, KY)

The Tigers now possess a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jackson County for a District 49 battle on Friday, December 15. Clay County will confront a Generals team coming off a 64-57 non-league win over Owsley County (Booneville, KY). The Generals record now stands at 3-3.

The Mountaineers (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against North Laurel (London, KY). The Jaguars come into the District 49 battle with a 0-5 record. In their last battle, North Laurel was overwhelmed by Henry Clay (Lexington, KY), 64-62, in a non-league battle.
