Milford Spartans (Milford, NH) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting ConVal Cougars (Peterborough, NH), 49-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Milford upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Spartans travel to Sanborn Regional (Kingston, NH) to play the Indians in a Division II bout on Friday, December 15. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Sanborn Regional lost 75-72 in their recent league bout against Coe-Brown Academy (Northwood, NH)

Next up, the Cougars play the Manchester West Blue Knights (Manchester, NH) in a Division II bout, on Friday, December 15. ConVal will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Blue Knights go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 67-46 league win over Laconia (Laconia, NH).
