Mississippi High School Basketball - New Hope tops Corinth

December 12, 2023: Columbus, MS 39702

New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Corinth Warriors (Corinth, MS), 62-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, New Hope upgrades its record to 10-0 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to West Point (West Point, MS) to play the Green Wave in a 5A Region 1 bout on Friday, December 15. The Green Wave come into the bout with a record of 6-2. West Point won 65-56 in their recent league bout against Lafayette (Oxford, MS)

Next up, the Warriors play the Clarksdale Wildcats (Clarksdale, MS) in a 5A Region 1 bout, on Friday, December 15. Corinth will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 2-8 record after their 77-66 league loss to Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS).
