Girard Yellowjackets (Girard, PA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Corry Beavers (Corry, PA), 62-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Girard upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Cochranton (Cochranton, PA) to clash with the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Friday, December 15. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 1-2. Cochranton won 47-40 in their recent league bout against West Middlesex (West Middlesex, PA)

Next up, the Beavers clash with the General McLane Lancers (Edinboro, PA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 21. Corry will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record.
