The Springfield Spartans basketball team (Akron, OH), was toppled 51-38 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Coventry Comets (Akron, OH)

The Comets now possess a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Norton for a Metro battle on Thursday, December 14. Coventry will battle a Panthers team coming off a 48-45 league win over Woodridge (Peninsula, OH). The Panthers record now stands at 2-1.

The Spartans (2-3) will now prepare for their battle against Woodridge (Peninsula, OH). The Bulldogs come into the Metro battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Woodridge dropped by Norton (Norton, OH), 48-45, in a league battle.
