South Lenoir Blue Devils (Deep Run, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC), 61-59 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, South Lenoir upgrades its record to 2-6 on the campaign. The Blue Devils host Southwest Onslow (Jacksonville, NC) to play the Stallions in a 2A East Central bout on Friday, December 15. The Stallions come into the bout with a record of 5-2. Southwest Onslow won 78-35 in their recent non-league bout against Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Southwest Onslow Stallions (Jacksonville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 13. Dixon will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Stallions come into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 64-60 non-league loss to West Carteret (Morehead City, NC).
