Norris City-Omaha-Enfield Fighting Cardinals (Norris City, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Galatia Bearcats (Galatia, IL), 57-54 in a league bout.

With the victory, Norris City-Omaha-Enfield upgrades its record to 2-8 on the campaign. The Fighting Cardinals travel to Hardin County (Elizabethtown, IL) to play the Cougars in a Greater Egyptian bout on Friday, December 15. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 2-5. Hardin County won 76-41 in their recent league bout against Carrier Mills-Stonefort (Carrier Mills, IL)

Next up, the Bearcats play the Cobden Appleknockers (Cobden, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Galatia will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record.
