The Galax Maroon Tide basketball team (Galax, VA), was overwhelmed 68-29 in Tuesday's league battle with the host George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA)

The Maroons now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Giles for a Mountain Empire outing on Friday, December 15. George Wythe will clash with a Spartans squad coming off a 78-27 league loss to Auburn (Riner, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 2-3.

The Maroon Tide now hold a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Carroll County for a non-league outing on Friday, December 15. Galax will clash with a Cavaliers squad coming off a 76-58 non-league win over Pulaski County (Dublin, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 5-0.
