Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Sioux City East Black Raiders (Sioux City, IA) and the host Jefferson Yellowjackets (Council Bluffs, IA), saw Sioux City East's basketball squad knock off Jefferson by a tally of 81-71.
With the victory, Sioux City East improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Black Raiders host Sergeant Bluff-Luton (Sergeant Bluff, IA) to play the Warriors in a Missouri River challenge on Friday, December 15. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 1-3. Sergeant Bluff-Luton lost 50-45 in their recent league challenge against Bishop Heelan Catholic (Sioux City, IA)
Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Nebraska City Pioneers (Nebraska City, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 14. Jefferson will attempt to improve on its 5-1 season record. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 66-44 non-league loss to Syracuse (Syracuse, NE).
