Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Valley edges Leechburg

The Valley Vikings (New Kensington, PA) basketball nipped the host Leechburg Blue Devils (Leechburg, PA), 53-46 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Vikings (1-2) will now prepare for their test against Apollo Ridge (Spring Church, PA). The Vikings go into the WPIAL 3A 3 test with a 0-6 record. In their last test, Apollo Ridge was tipped by Winchester Thurston (Pittsburgh, PA), 69-43, in a non-league test.

The Blue Devils now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to St. Joseph for a non-league test on Friday, December 15. Leechburg will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 75-22 non-league loss to Burrell (Lower Burrell, PA). The Spartans record now stands at 0-5.
