Montrose Blue Jays (Montrose, MO) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Northeast Vernon County Knights (Walker, MO), 52-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Montrose upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Blue Jays host Hermitage (Hermitage, MO) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 14. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Hermitage won 55-33 in their recent league bout against Humansville (Humansville, MO)

Next up, the Knights play the McAuley Catholic Warriors (Joplin, MO) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 15. Northeast Vernon County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 56-44 league win over Exeter (Exeter, MO).
