Opelika Bulldogs (Opelika, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Stanhope Elmore Mustangs (Millbrook, AL), 73-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Opelika upgrades its record to 6-4 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to James Clemens (Madison, AL) to play the Jets in a non-league bout on Friday, December 15. The Jets go into the bout with a record of 10-3. James Clemens won 56-47 in their recent non-league bout against Fairfield (Fairfield, AL)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Percy Julian Phoenix (Montgomery, AL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 14. Stanhope Elmore will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Phoenix go into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 73-70 non-league win over Park Crossing (Montgomery, AL).
