The Schenck Wolverines basketball team scored 44 points and held the host Penobscot Valley Howlers to 41 in the Wolverines non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Wolverines now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bangor Christian for a D North contest on Thursday, December 14. Schenck will battle a Patriots team coming off a 56-27 non-league win over Greenville (Greenville, ME). The Patriots record now stands at 2-0.

The Howlers (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Calais (Calais, ME). The Blue Devils enter the C North contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Calais nudged Narraguagus (Harrington, ME), 61-37, in a league contest.
