North Carolina High School Basketball - Berry knocked off by South Mecklenburg

December 12, 2023: Charlotte, NC 28208

The South Mecklenburg Sabres basketball team scored 75 points and held the host Berry Cardinal to 59 in the Sabres league triumph on Tuesday.

The Sabres now sport a 6-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Palisades for a 4A South Meck contest on Friday, December 15. South Mecklenburg will battle a Pumas team coming off a 68-29 league loss to Myers Park (Charlotte, NC). The Pumas record now stands at 5-3.

The Cardinal (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC). The Knights enter the 4A South Meck contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, Ardrey Kell ran past Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC), 62-54, in a non-league contest.
