Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Bear River Bruins (Grass Valley, CA), 46-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Nevada Union upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Miners travel to McClatchy (Sacramento, CA) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 14. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 2-2. McClatchy won 55-51 in their recent non-league bout against Burbank (Sacramento, CA)

Next up, the Bruins play the Franklin Wildcats (Elk Grove, CA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 14. Bear River will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 63-47 non-league loss to Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills, CA).
