Albany Academy for Girls Bears (Albany, NY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Academy of the Holy Names (Albany, NY), 59-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Albany Academy for Girls upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Bears host Mohonasen (Schenectady, NY) to clash with the Warriors in a Section 2 Colonial bout on Friday, December 15. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Mohonasen won 40-20 in their recent league bout against Schalmont (Schenectady, NY)

Next up, the clash with the Ichabod Crane Riders (Valatie, NY) in a Section 2 Colonial bout, on Friday, December 15. Academy of the Holy Names will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Riders go into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 85-23 league loss to Catholic Central (Troy, NY).
