Westside Warriors (Jonesboro, AR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Blytheville Chickasaws (Blytheville, AR), 56-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Westside upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Warriors host Forrest City (Forrest City, AR) to play the Mustangs in a 4A Region 3 bout on Friday, December 15. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 9-3. Forrest City lost 59-55 in their recent league bout against Brookland (Brookland, AR)

Next up, the Chickasaws play the Highland Rebels (Hardy, AR) in a 4A Region 3 match, on Monday, December 18. Blytheville will attempt to better on its 2-8 season record. The Rebels enter the match with a 3-6 record after their 56-55 league win over Wynne (Wynne, AR).
