The Newcastle Bobcats (Newcastle, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Bryson Cowboys (Bryson, TX), 50-9 in Tuesday's league test.
The Bobcats (12-1) will now prepare for their test against Petrolia (Petrolia, TX). The Pirates go into the non-league test with a 6-10 record. In their last test, Petrolia walloped Northside (Vernon, TX), 35-15, in a non-league test.
The Cowboys now own a 0-9 record. They play next when they host Perrin-Whitt for a 1A Region III District 21 test on Friday, December 15. Bryson will encounter a Pirates squad coming off a 66-19 league loss to Throckmorton (Throckmorton, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 7-7.
