The Girard Trojans (Girard, KS) basketball felled the visiting Chanute Blue Comets (Chanute, KS), 57-43 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Trojans (2-1) will now prepare for their test against Baxter Springs (Baxter Springs, KS). The Lions go into the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Baxter Springs was beaten by Frontenac (Frontenac, KS), 63-11, in a non-league test.
The Blue Comets now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Fort Scott for a Southeast Kansas test on Friday, December 15. Chanute will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 53-13 non-league win over Paola (Paola, KS). The Tigers record now stands at 2-0.
