In Tuesday's league outing, the Lubbock-Cooper Pirates (Lubbock, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Cooper Cougars (Abilene, TX), by a margin of 75-34.
The Pirates (10-6) will now prepare for their outing against Monterey (Lubbock, TX). The Plainsmen go into the 5A Region I District 4 outing with a 14-5 record. In their last outing, Monterey smashed Coronado (Lubbock, TX), 88-54, in a league outing.
The Cougars now own a 7-10 record. They play next when they travel to Abilene for a 5A Region I District 4 outing on Friday, December 15. Cooper will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 59-43 league loss to Wylie (Abilene, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 9-7.
