Council Cobras (Council, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Tazewell Bulldogs (Tazewell, VA), 50-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Council upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Cobras travel to Holston (Damascus, VA) to clash with the Cavaliers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 15. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 0-5. Holston lost 38-9 in their recent non-league bout against Twin Valley (Pilgrims Knob, VA)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Grundy Golden Wave (Grundy, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 14. Tazewell will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Golden Wave go into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 47-40 non-league win over Lebanon (Lebanon, VA).
