The Cumberland Dukes basketball team (Cumberland, VA), was nudged 37-35 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Nottoway Cougars (Nottoway, VA)
The Cougars now possess a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot for a non-league battle on Wednesday, December 13. Nottoway will battle a Knights team coming off a 54-32 non-league loss to Spirit HomeSchool (Richmond, VA). The Knights record now stands at 1-5.
The Dukes (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Amelia County (Amelia Court House, VA). The Raiders come into the James River battle with a 3-0 record.
