Newman Smith Trojans (Carrollton, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Frisco Raccoons (Frisco, TX), 69-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Newman Smith upgrades its record to 8-6 on the season. The Trojans travel to Wakeland (Frisco, TX) to play the Wolverines in a 5A Region II District 9 bout on Friday, December 15. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 12-5. Wakeland lost 42-38 in their recent league bout against Reedy (Frisco, TX)

Next up, the Raccoons play the Lone Star Rangers (Frisco, TX) in a 5A Region II District 9 bout, on Friday, December 15. Frisco will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The Rangers come into the challenge with a 5-11 record after their 53-43 league loss to Creekview (Carrollton, TX).
