Illinois High School Basketball - Gibault Catholic routs Metro-East Lutheran

In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Gibault Catholic Hawks (Waterloo, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Metro-East Lutheran Knights (Edwardsville, IL), by a margin of 48-21.

The Hawks (4-5) will now prepare for their outing against Chester (Chester, IL). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league outing with a 5-5 record. In their last outing, Chester smashed Waterloo (Waterloo, IL), 47-23, in a non-league outing.

The Knights now own a 0-10 record. They play next when they travel to Tournament Opponent for a non-league outing on Thursday, December 14. Metro-East Lutheran will encounter a squad coming off a 63-48 non-league win over Oak City Prep (Raleigh, NC). The record now stands at 39-66.
