Liberty Panthers (Liberty, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns (Hamshire, TX), 32-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Liberty upgrades its record to 17-3 on the season. The Panthers travel to Livingston (Livingston, TX) to play the Lions in a 4A Region III District 20 bout on Friday, December 15. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 2-14. Livingston won 46-40 in their recent league bout against West Fork (Kingwood, TX)

Next up, the Longhorns play the Splendora Wildcats (Splendora, TX) in a 4A Region III District 20 bout, on Friday, December 15. Hamshire-Fannett will attempt to upgrade on its 9-9 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 4-13 record after their 45-30 league loss to Hargrave (Huffman, TX).
