Minnesota High School Basketball - Hermantown can't hold off North Branch

The North Branch Vikings basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Hermantown Hawks to 49 in the Vikings league triumph on Tuesday.
The Vikings now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Big Lake for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 14. North Branch will battle a Hornets team coming off a 53-47 league loss to Cambridge-Isanti (Cambridge, MN). The Hornets record now stands at 1-3.
The Hawks (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Grand Rapids (Grand Rapids, MN). The Thunderhawks enter the AAA Section 7 contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Grand Rapids was nudged by Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] (Eveleth, MN), 66-49, in a league contest.
