The Mount Desert Island Trojans basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the host Hermon Hawks to 38 in the Trojans league victory on Tuesday.

The Trojans now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to John Bapst Memorial for a B North contest on Friday, December 15. Mount Desert Island will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 42-21 league loss to Old Town (Old Town, ME). The Crusaders record now stands at 0-2.
